We Could Brag About The Quality Of Our Boats. But We’d Rather Let Others Do It For Us.

Beyond the specs, features, options, and photos on this website, if you really want to know what makes a World Cat different – and better – than a monohull boat, ask someone who owns one, or tested one, or tests boats for a living. You’ll be surprised at how pleasantly surprised they were.

Take a look at what veteran boaters, diehard fishermen, industry experts, and perhaps some of your neighbors, have to say about World Cat. Then, take a no-obligation sea trial, and see for yourself. If you are already part of the World Cat family and want to submit a testimonial, let us know via our contact form or by emailing [email protected].

I started looking for a boat for myself and family in 2017. I grew up in a boating family, but with career and life, had not owned a boat for quite a few years. I spent a lot of time on the water over those years between teaching diving and the occasional fishing trip with friends and charters. One of several fishing trips I made with a friend was aboard a 32 CC World Cat. Little did I know that this was a sign of things to come. When the family decided it was time to get our own boat, we discussed several options and looked at primarily DC configurations. During this search, we looked at single hull platforms along with dual hull configurations. It became clear to us that the dual hull configuration was the right choice for us. It didn’t take us long to make the choice to own a World Cat 255 DC. The water test closed the deal. It became immediately clear that we had chosen well. The 255 DC was the perfect set up for our family and we have spent many hours exploring the waterways and islands around the Clearwater, Fl area. What we didn’t fully anticipate, is how much of a lifestyle change this would bring about for us as we found ourselves on the water nearly every weekend. I am extraordinarily pleased with the workmanship and design of the World Cat. The fit and finish is top notch, the design is so…

We are a diving and fishing family living in North Carolina. Our offshore runs are from 20-40 miles regularly to dive and further to fish occasionally. After sea trialing several mono-hulls and the World Cat it became a real easy decision. The stability and usable space of the WC far surpassed any of the mono-hulls in the same size range in rough weather ride comfort, fuel economy, stability, and carrying heavy loads. The Dual Console is extremely family friendly for cruising and the large open rear cockpit area has plenty of space for divers and hardcore fishing. We choose the 295DC because we also needed to be able to trailer the boat for trips out of state and have trailered over 3,000 miles in our first year of ownership. Our World Cat has enabled our family to spend quality time on the water in our own boat from North Carolina to Florida to the Bahamas. For a look at our WC in action check out Florida Sportsman Magazine Project Dreamboat episode 3 on YouTube.

We wanted a boat that could handle the chop that we often get in Charlotte Harbor. The boat we had was a deck boat and while it was spacious, it was uncomfortable or even dangerous to take it out on any days that were above a light chop. With the World Cat we can take our boat out any day. In fact we took it around the keys and over to Bimini this summer. This was our first crossing of the Gulf Stream, from Port Everglades to Bimini. The day we crossed had six foot very confused seas. Far from ideal conditions in which to cross. What should have taken 2 hours to cross took 4. While the ride was rough it was not dangerous. The 280DC-X handled the conditions much better than we did! Ten years later, we wanted to downsize as our current vessel was getting too large for us. As we tried to decide on how to move forward, my wife told me that she wanted a new boat – one that no one has been on before. Right next door to our boat yard was a World Cat dealer – Schrader Yacht Sales. Before visiting the dealer, I did extensive research on line about World Cats. What I discovered impressed me. There wasn’t a very large inventory of used World Cats and it seemed like World Cat owners were almost “cult” like in their love of the brand. As we did our research about the World…
