Summary:
This job focuses on producing high-quality, detailed work based on established standards, guidelines, and procedures. Communication with others is based on knowledge and procedures gained from job experience. You will experience long periods of intensely focused work with clear goals and objectives. While other times will be fast-moving projects where quick thinking and troubleshooting skills are critical to advance past unavoidable obstacles (Pandemics, supply shortages, etc.) Willingness to develop working relationships at all levels of the organization is a must. This position is designed to develop a valued technical expert who can deliver quality work consistently, recognized and supported by management, and a stable work environment.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Design and engineer new products to add value to our customers, outside contractors, and suppliers while meeting regulatory industry standards.
  • Work alongside outside contractors and suppliers to meet or exceed project expectations while meeting all regulations and industry standards.
  • Engineer assigned functional areas on multiple projects
    • Create components, populate and maintain the 3D master model to create Digital Mockup (DMU) that aligns with the manufacturing process.
    • Lead group to define, confirm, finalize and approve all vendor and fiberglass parts.
    • Works with Materials Team on projects for development with vendors and contractors for quality boat components.
    • Coordinate and communicate with teammates during all engineering phases
      • Confirm fit and placement of parts in DMU.
      • Coordinate approvals for the functional area before tooling release.
      • Effectively communicate and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
    • Assist with departmental continuous improvement efforts and look for creative ways to solve manufacturing issues.
    • Assist with Engineering Changes for current product enhancements.
    • Participate in model year change, cost-saving, and process improvement activities.
    • Create and maintain BOM during Engineering phases
    • Lead cross-functional teams to build out BOM details.
    • Create preliminary BOM to hand off to the ME dept or the prototype.
    • Ensure accuracy of BOM with the ME dept during the Prototype phase.

Job Requirements:   

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or other engineering discipline preferred
  • Strong computer skills in 3D CAD (Solid Edge or Rhino preferred)
  • Willing to take on tasks outside of their job description as needed to assist in meeting departmental goals.

Primary responsibilities: 

  • Plan, organize, direct and run optimum day-to-day operations for lamination, cut/patch, assembly and maintenance teams.
  • Be responsible for production output, product quality and on-time shipping
  • Responsible for the overall safety, quality, environmental reporting and performance of the facility.

Qualifications:  

  • Proven work experience in marine industry and at least 7 years’ experience in a supervisory/management role
  • Adequate knowledge of business and management principles (budgeting, strategic planning)
  • Familiarity with industry standard equipment and technical expertise including Microsoft Office
  • Be knowledgeable of safety, quality, productivity, demand creation, inventory and stewardship processes
  • Strong team building, decision-making, people management skills, accountability and leading by example
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to climb ladders and stairs, kneeling, and lifting up to 50 pounds.

As an Assembly Teammate, your mission is to produce high-quality based on established standards, guidelines, and procedures. In this role, you will be responsible not only for precise, consistent individual work-output, but also the quality of your teammates. It is essential to maintain patience and a willingness to complete one task at a time and build relationships with your teammates through trust and accountability. Job knowledge and competency is built through structured step-by-step training and positive, supportive coaching from management and peers. We strive for consistent, error free work based on defined standards. This role is for anyone that loves to work with their hands and can use basic hand tools.

Primary responsibilities:

  • Hold teammates accountable to all safety, quality, efficiency, supply, and on-time delivery goals
  • Evaluate team member performance and address defects to eliminate repeat mistakes
  • Coordinate engineering support for clarity and simplifying processes
  • Participate in process improvements to eliminate repetitive quality issues

Qualifications 

  • High school Diploma or GED
  • Able to follow documentation and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) to build products to spec
  • Prefer knowledge or understanding of boat assembly
  • Confidence to motivate and lead people

The focus of this specialized, technically oriented position is on meeting and exceeding high standards of accuracy and quality based on established systems, technologies, and guidelines. Strength in technical problem solving based on expertise and experience, and a strong commitment to efficiently achieve high quality results is required. A thoughtful, persevering, self-disciplined approach to achieving accurate, detailed work is essential. Job responsibilities and expectations are clearly defined, as is the scope of job authority. Expertise and competency is developed through a systematic technical training program, as well as an ongoing exposure to and training in new technical systems once they have been adopted and well tested.

Primary responsibilities:

  • Follow all SOPs to deliver quality parts without rework.
  • Work to meet efficiencies with the highest possible quality.
  • Suit up with proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and be ready to start working within 10 minutes of the start of the shift.
  • Keep your area clean and safe at all times
  • Report any inaccuracies in the glass and mill kits to the lead person or supervisor.
  • Report any gel issues to the lead person or supervisor.
  • Responsible for keeping all tools clean and in good working condition.
  • Be back from breaks and lunch on time and ready to start work.
  • Report all accidents to supervisor or Human Resources.
  • Perform any task asked by the lead person or supervisor.                                                   

Qualifications: 

  • High school Diploma or GED
  • Prior experience in fiberglass work preferred
  • Understanding of laminates and the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for lamination
  • Attention to detail to see and correct air in laminates

  • Audit parts for improper cut-outs, poor grinding, or poorly painted parts
    • Ensure all cutting, foaming, and painting procedures happen at the right time per the schedule
    • Vocalize need for engineering support to help improve cut accuracy and proficiency
    • Ensure proper documentation, tools, and overlays are available for all associates
  • Address defects to eliminate repeat mistakes and review with the Supervisor or Team Lead.
  • Must be able to use basic hand tools (saws, tape measure, power drills, etc...)
  • Produce ZERO defects (fix before leaving your area)
  • Ensure the work area is clean and safe
  • Ensure all tools & equipment working with proper settings
  • Ensure all work instructions followed by all teammates
  • Sign QA check sheet to verify product built to spec follow all documentation

Qualifications:

  • High school Diploma or GED, Basic computer skills.
  • Able to follow documentation and SOP’s to build products to spec.
  • Intensive knowledge of all SOP’s and documentation for processes and equipment used in the work area.
  • Working knowledge of lamination.

Summary: Possess a skill set to repair defects created from inadequate processes.

Primary responsibilities:

  • Follow all Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and work instructions to deliver quality parts without rework.
  • Work diligently to meet efficiencies while not compromising quality.
  • Follow all PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) guidelines and safety procedures required by World Cat.
  • Suit up with proper PPE and be ready to start working within 10 minutes of the start of the shift.
  • Keep your area and tools clean and safe at all times.
  • Must be receptive to new ideas or procedure changes.
  • Inform your lead person or supervisor of all quality, safety, or production issues immediately.
  • Ensure chemicals are properly stored at all times including at the end of shift.
  • Be sure the QA sheet is properly filled out before presenting part to QA.
  • Perform any task asked of by the team lead or supervisor.
  • Complete your jobs each day and request assistance for any questions in the documentation
  • Correct any line defects to eliminate repeat mistakes
  • Request Engineering Support to for clarity and simplifying processes
  • Produce ZERO defects (fix before leaving your area)

Qualifications:

  • High school Diploma or GED
  • Able to follow documentation and SOP’s to build products to spec
  • Intensive knowledge of all SOP’s and documentation for processes and equipment used in the work area
  • Must understand how to follow SOP’s and Work Instructions for patching fiberglass parts.
  • Must have thorough knowledge in the proper use of all tools used in the patch department.
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs.

  • Performs quality control inspections, checks and tests
  • Inspects materials, parts and products at various production stages
  • Records defects and observations for process improvement recommendations
  • Inspects rework of defects and clears the boat for release to the next station/area
  • Performs final systems and cosmetic inspections before a boat is released for shipment
  • Support a positive safety-first culture in daily activities
  • Take pride in producing the highest quality product

Qualifications:

  • Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a production boat factory
  • Must be decisive, and willing to support his/her conclusions under often contentious exchanges
  • Ability to focus on minute details
  • Able to adapt to changing priorities and schedules. Works under moderate supervision
  • High school diploma required. Associates or Technical Degree preferred
  • Strong organization skills, detail oriented, and computer skills required

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production and facility equipment according to safety, predictive, and productive maintenance systems, and processes to support the achievement of the site’s goals and objectives.

Primary responsibilities:

  • Perform highly diversified duties to install and maintain production equipment and the plant facility’s equipment.
  • Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service.
  • Perform machinist duties and responsibilities.
  • Perform mechanic skills including mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of production and facility equipment.
  • Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
  • Diagnose problems, replace, or repair parts, test and adjust.
  • Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment, and plant facilities.
  • Perform a variety of facility maintenance and carpentry functions.
  • Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment in performing duties.
  • Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
  • Perform PMs as scheduled.
  • Work and assist / manage projects during scheduled plant shutdowns.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma and 5+ years production maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong skills in the following areas: hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, electrical, industrial, HVAC, and facility maintenance.
  • Ability to lift at least 50lbs
