Butler Marine has a full team of qualified and certified boat repair and service technicians in both locations to keep you on the water longer. From routine maintenance to repairs, Butler Marine also offers haul outs and winterization/de-winterization services. Trained and certified in both Yamaha and Mercury engine service and repair.

Compton Toms is a Spartanburg, South Carolina native and a graduate of Clemson University. His passion for boating and fishing began at an early age, starting on freshwater ponds at just five years old. That passion later expanded into saltwater boating after his family acquired an older World Cat, which truly sparked his lifelong appreciation for life on the water. Fripp Island, South Carolina, is where Compton spends time on the boat whenever possible and remains his favorite place on earth. When he’s not working or on the water, he enjoys spending quality time with friends and family and simply enjoying a good time.

Chandler McMillan

My name is Chandler McMillan and I’m a Charleston, South Carolina native with deep roots in the Lowcountry and a lifelong connection to the water. I joined Butler Marine in early 2023, starting in the service department before transitioning into sales in the fall of 2024. I enjoy helping customers find the right boat to match their lifestyle and time on the water. Outside of work, you’ll often find me exploring the waterways around Charleston and Edisto Beach, catching a good football game (Go Gamecocks!), cooking, and spending quality time with friends and family.

Parts Manager

As Parts Manager, I am responsible for ordering and maintaining parts for stock and special orders, keeping our showroom stocked and maintaining correct inventory. I started in the marine industry in 2017 as a service writer and eventually moved to the parts department. I have been with Butler Marine since 2023 and enjoy my job immensely. During the summer, I enjoy time out on the water and spending time with my family and friends. I’m a huge Clemson Tigers fan and love to watch golf.

    Justin Hickey

    Service Manager

    Justin Hickey is a Charleston Native with 12 years of leadership experience. After graduation from Fort Dorchester High School in 2010 he enlisted in the United States Army as an Infantrymen and quickly deployed to Afghanistan, Eastern Europe, and Africa. After medically retiring he attended UMKC and earned a degree in Business Administration before returning to the Lowcountry in 2022. Justin joined the Butler Marine of Charleston family in the Summer of 2023 and has been an integral part of the Service Department ever since. He brings an end-to-end task organizational method to the department with customer service in the forefront. His dedication is exemplified by his outstanding customer satisfaction. Outside of Butler Marine of Charleston he is an avid golfer and enjoys spending time on the water.
